The Early Years Resource Factory is designed to make the implementation of Aistear enjoyable and stress-free for Managers and Practitioners. You can save a huge amount of valuable time while at the same time providing an innovative leading edge and child-centred curriculum. Aistear is the new curriculum framework in early years education. It is for children between birth and six years. It was developed by the NCCA (National Council for Curriculum & Assessment) in partnership with the early childhood sector.
Aistear contains information for parents and practitioners that will assist in planning and providing challenging and enjoyable learning experiences that can enable all children to grow and develop as competent and confident learners in the context of loving relationships with others. Aistear describes the types of learning and development that are important for children in their early years, and offers ideas and suggestions on how these might be nurtured. At the touch of a button the practitioner has access to materials on diversity, special resources, literacy & numeracy and open-ended material. You will have the materials to organise an environment to support children's learning and development to include signage, posters, labels and images.
Aistear uses four themes: Well-being, Identity and Belonging, Communicating, Exploring & Thinking that connect and overlap with each other to assist children's learning and development. The Early Years Resource Factory has ample materials to support the four themes. The bank of materials are added to on a constant basis by a team of early years specialists to keep your service fresh, focussed and forward thinking.
